There is no native funtion in Autodesk® Revit® that allows you to create a section view simply by clicking on a planar face. That’s why at Camilion we developed SectionCreator.
How does it work?
As the name suggests, this app allows you to simply create sections by clicking on a planar face in your model or in links.
As soon as you click on a planar face, a Detail View will be created: the viewing direction will be aligned with the face normal and the up direction aligned with the face’s U Vector.
This greatly simplifies the process of creating a section that is not aligned to the project coordinates and avoids the necessity to create intermediate sections.
